Patient Journey
New Features and Improvements
-
Verato Universal Identity has been updated to provide flexible user provisioning options that cater to your specific needs. The following levels of access are now available:
- Read-Only Access: Allows users to search for and view patient identities.
- Write Access: Enables users to view and update Patient Stewardship tasks, perform link/unlink operations, and add comments to a patient record.
- Access to perform merge/unmerge operations.
- Access to delete/undelete attributes.
- Access to deactivate/reactivate a patient record.
- Access to delete a patient record.
- Verato Universal Identity has been updated to enable the reuse of unique IDs assigned to patient records during initial ingestion. This feature facilitates the migration from your current MPI/MDM solution, minimizing the need for changes in other systems (e.g., crosswalk tables and downstream systems).
- Verato Universal Identity has been updated to prevent the creation of stewardship tasks involving identities that are known non-duplicates. When a task is closed with the resolution of Not Same Person, Verato Universal Identity will ensure that the underlying patient records are never consolidated into a single identity. You can manually link the patient records to override this behavior.
To enable any of these capabilities, please create a support ticket or contact your Verato representative.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that prevented the display of identities on a task when any of the associated Reference Identities had death details.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the display of patient identity, specifically when the identity was accessed via the Link ID from the Householding section.
Provider Data Management
New Features and Improvements
- Provider data attributes can be active or inactive for smart views. Active attributes are those that have been included in the most recent update of the data cluster from the same Source and Native ID. This status can be used to filter smart views to get only the most current active information.
Note
This status is not in the UI or editable by a steward at this time.- There can be multiple active attributes for one source.
- Both active and inactive information are still used in match scoring.
- In the UI there is no difference between active and inactive attributes.
- Updating an attribute from one cluster does not effect the status of another cluster.
- An attribute can become active again if it is included in another update from the same source and native ID.
Example
Dr. Wise has four addresses from 2 sources, credentialing and the EHR.
Address | Source | Last Updated | Status |
123 Health Ln Chicago, IL |
Credentialing | July 1st, 2023 | Active |
456 Care Blvd Chicago, IL |
Credentialing | July 1st, 2023 | Active |
789 Stethoscope St Chicago, IL |
Credentialing | July 1st, 2023 | Active |
111 Satellite Rd Naperville, IL |
EHR | August 1st, 2023 | Active |
The credentialing system sends over new information to Verato about Dr. Wise. 789 Sethoscope St. was not included in the update for the same source and native ID and therefore was not marked active. The data would look like the following.
Address | Source | Last Updated | Status |
123 Health Ln Chicago, IL |
Credentialing | September 1st, 2023 | Active |
455 Care Blvd Chicago, IL |
Credentialing | September 1st, 2023 | Active |
789 Stethoscope St Chicago, IL |
Credentialing | July 1st, 2023 | Inactive |
111 Satellite Rd Naperville, IL |
EHR | August 1st, 2023 | Active |
