- Verato has added a new outbound notification mechanism designed to push updated identity information proactively to our customers. When any event happens in your instance of Verato that has the potential to change the data content for an identity (adding or updating data, deleting a record, taking data stewardship actions like linking or unlinking records, and more), Verato creates a notification message that contains the new demographic data content for the identity. This message can be pushed to a customer-hosted HTTP endpoint, allowing customers to keep other data systems or applications in synch with the updated data about their patients, providers, and more.
This is a separate outbound notification mechanism from Verato's 'searchNotifications' web service. Currently, the message content is different and non-overlapping between the new HTTP push notifications and the 'searchNotifications' web service. The new HTTP push notifications are designed to contain the complete identity information for an identity (a unique Link ID's worth of information).
Here are some examples of where this outbound notification capability can be used by Verato customers:- Whenever any of my data sources have new or updated information about a healthcare provider, I want to push that updated information into my EHR system. Verato’s outbound notification can be received by the customer and forwarded on to other applications or integration tools.
- I want to keep a ‘golden view’ of my patients saved in my data warehouse for analysis. Verato’s outbound notifications provide the information needed to keep the data warehouse information in synch.
The main body of the notification message content uses the same format as the JSON response format for Verato's APIs. The notification messages can be filtered by event type (adds and updates vs links vs merges vs deletes, and so on) and even by demographic data values themselves. The notification message content can also be configured to include one or more of Verato's DEFAULT format, GROUP_BY_SOURCE format, or a customer-specific Smart View format.

New Features and Improvements
- Verato’s matching engine now leverages an AI-curated list to recognize alternate spellings of first and middle names—enhancing match accuracy while ensuring that no customer data ever leaves the Verato platform. This enhancement increases the likelihood of identifying true matches involving name spelling variations. For AutoSteward customers, a new match code, ALTERNATE_SPELLING, will be returned when these matches are detected, enabling more precise and efficient task resolution.
