The Stewardship UI allows data stewards to efficiently manage and resolve tasks by providing clear task navigation, detailed metadata, and flexible record actions. From this interface, stewards can prioritize, assign, and resolve tasks while maintaining visibility into how matches were determined.
Navigating to a Task
Stewards can navigate to a specific task by clicking on the task’s category on the task queue. From there stewards can conduct more specific task actions - such as merging and linking records, changing task priority, and much more.
Task Metadata
Taking a look at the task view, users will notice a couple different configurable task metadata fields.
These include the task’s:
Match Score - how the two first two identities in the task scored in comparison to each other from a scale of 0.0-1.0
Task Priority - how the task was prioritized based on task prioritization workflows and user discretion (editable)
Task Assignee - The steward currently responsible for the task. Stewards can edit this freely.
Task Status - the current state of the task (e.g., Open, In Progress, Closed, etc).
Task Resolution - The outcome selected when the task is completed (e.g. Same Person, Not Enough Information, Not Same Person, etc).
Date Created - The date and time the task was created, synced to the user’s timezone.
Date Modified - The date and time the task was last modified, synced to the user’s timezone.
Filtering and Views
Moving further down, stewards can see the identity data associated with the task. From here, the steward can choose to filter the identities / source records in several ways, include by linkId, by sources, and by source match tier.
To better analyze the data, stewards can switch between column view and table view using the view controls in the top-right corner.
Linking and Merging
By selecting two records, stewards can perform a variety of actions:
- Merge Records – Combine records into a single identity.
- Link Selected Records – Connect two records without merging.
- Unlink Selected Records – Remove an existing link between records.
Match Breakdown
Stewards can better understand Verato’s match logic by clicking the question mark next to the match score. This opens a breakdown of the score, showing which attributes or enhancements influenced the result. This feature helps identify why records were matched, and what factors increased or decreased the score.
