What are Verato Managed Records?
Sometimes, organizations need to capture information before it exists in any source system—for example, adding a new clinician or updating details for a person or organization. Verato Managed Records (VMR) enables this by allowing authorized users to manually add or update records directly within the Verato MDM Cloud UI, ensuring this information is incorporated into Verato’s matching and identity management processes.
Use Cases
Healthcare Systems:
Enable controlled creation of clinician or provider records, centralize provider data, and publish trusted information to EHRs. Data stewards can add or update records as exceptions, reducing errors and duplication.
Financial Services (KYC):
Capture time-sensitive or manual information needed for compliance, enhanced due diligence, or remediation processes.
Other Scenarios:
Manage provider credentials, customer preferences, or employee skill profiles that aren’t yet available in source systems.
Key Benefits
Verato Managed Records strengthens your Master Data Management strategy by providing more flexibility and control over critical identity data.
Minimized Error Propagation: Enable trusted users to create or update records in exceptional cases, reducing data entry points and ensuring consistent, reliable information.
Real-Time Decision Making: Keep data current and trustworthy, with authorized users able to override Smart View contents when appropriate.

Enhanced Data Control: Manually capture and manage critical or time-sensitive information.
Governance & Security: Approval workflows and role-based permissions safeguard data integrity and access.
Flexible Implementation: Adapt VMR to diverse workflows and operational needs without requiring developer intervention.
Verato Managed Records UI Flows
Verato Managed Records supports two main UI workflows:

Review or Audit Verato Managed Records
Through the Workflows feature, VMR entries can be reviewed or approved before finalization:
Approval Tasks: Review and approve or reject changes submitted by supervised stewards.
Review Tasks: Audit activity, tracking who made the change, which attributes were modified, and when.
Implementing Verato Managed Records: What You Need to Know
One Record per Identity: Each identity can have a single Verato Managed Record.
Information Consolidation: When multiple identities—each with their own Verato Managed Record—are merged, the surviving identity retains a single consolidated Verato Managed Record that combines information from all prior VMRs. A notification is generated whenever such a consolidation occurs.
Out-of-the-Box Availability: The default source for Verato Managed Records is pre-configured as
verato.managed.source—no additional setup required.
